PACS Presents at the GMCA Primary School Summit

November 8th, 2024

Events

We recently had an exciting opportunity to join the GMCA Primary School Summit, an event hosted by the Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit (GMVRU). The summit brought together primary school leaders and community groups to talk about how we can work together to make schools safer and better for young people.

Speakers, including the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and campaigner Sarah Anastasiou, discussed big topics that impact young people, such as staying safe online, building confidence, and supporting families.

Throughout the day, we met with different organisations, including the police, local councils, and health and safety groups to discuss new ideas and share ways to make a difference in schools and communities.

We also learned about the VRU's Education Hive on Knowledge Hub, a new online resource for people in the education sector to share and access tools and information.

Overall, the summit was a really valuable opportunity for PACS to connect with others, exchange ideas, and plan future partnerships with organisations dedicated to supporting young people. We're excited to see the positive impact this collaboration will bring!
