Join Our Parent and Carer Support Groups

We are excited to introduce you to a variety of new support groups based on the feedback from many of our parents and carers, starting this September 2024. These sessions are available to all parents and carers that have been referred into our services.

These groups will run every 2 weeks from September until further notice.

School Avoidance Support Group

School avoidance has skyrocketed by 134% since the pandemic and so if your child is currently avoiding school, you are certainly not alone. Any parent affected by this is welcome to join, even if your child struggles to just get going in the morning and is late to school frequently, we want to hear from you. Parents who attend will have the opportunity to air concerns, learn about school and local authority processes and request resources or guest speakers that would be beneficial to the rest of the group. All are welcome.

When: Starting Thursday 12th September- 10AM.

Where: Online via Zoom.

Sensory, Sleep and Food Support Group

Is your child affected by sensory, sleeping or eating issues? Whether your child only eats certain foods, struggles with wearing certain clothing, sleeps during the day or has an unhealthy sleep routine in general, we will be bringing parents together facing similar challenges to share their knowledge and experience. Group members will have the opportunity to pose difficult questions, ask for resources and request guest speakers that would benefit the group; or simply just listen to others and their experiences. All are welcome.

When: Starting Thursday 12th September-12PM

Wellbeing Support Group

Running on empty is just the ‘norm’ for so many parents but parenting requires a huge amount of energy. We challenge you to put yourself first for once; join us for a bi-monthly Wellbeing online support group. We will be focusing on ways to win energy and how to trick our brains to work for us rather than against us. Parents who attend can simply listen for advice, ask questions, or make requests for activities, resources or guest speakers. These sessions are open to anyone who’s worried about their general wellbeing.

When: Starting Thursday 19th September- 10AM

Where: Online via Zoom.
