New EHCP Workshop Series: Supporting Families Through the EHCP Journey

EHCP Information Course: 3-Week Series

Are you navigating the world of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for your child or young person? This free 3-week course is designed to help parents, carers, and professionals better understand the EHCP process, from start to finish.

Whether you're just starting out or already in the middle of the journey, these sessions offer clear, practical guidance at every stage. You’re welcome to attend one, two, or all three sessions, whatever suits your needs.

Week 1: Understanding EHCPs - What They Are and How to Apply

In this session, we’ll cover the basics. What is an EHCP? Who is eligible? How do you start the application process? We’ll break down the key steps, explain the timelines, and give practical guidance to help you get started with confidence.

Week 2: What Makes a Good Plan and Who Can Help?

Once the process is underway, what does a strong EHCP actually look like? This session will focus on how to make sure the plan accurately reflects a child's needs and includes the right support. We'll also talk about who can help at each stage.

Week 3: Appeals Process and Mediation

Not happy with the outcome? This session explores your rights to challenge decisions, how the appeals process works, and when mediation might be helpful. We’ll give you clear, practical advice on how to prepare and where to go for support.

Session dates will be released shortly - keep an eye out for updates!
